who are we?
Superhero Clubhouse is a sustainable collective of artists and advocates working at the intersection of environmentalism and theater. We make original performances via a collaborative, green and rigorous process. Through the creation of allegorical mythologies, experiments in storytelling and science-inspired events, we work to ignite environmental conversations among audiences and communities in the pursuit of revolutionary theater and ecological coexistence.
MatchboxArts was founded in 2008 as an integrated media production house. Our methods explore the intersection of public, private and personal gestures, while employing a creative and technical regard to immediacy similar to that of an instant Polaroid. The content, creation and production arise necessarily ‘of-the-moment’, and produce an artifact that functions as both document and art object. To date, we have produced live art installation, dance film, staged events, and collaborative work with a variety of different arts groups nationally and abroad.
